Overview of Scholarships
Selected Mastercard Foundation Scholars will receive a nine-month intensive academic and hands-on training program in artificial intelligence (AI) and business from Arizona State University in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation. The program aims to develop students’ technical proficiency in AI, leadership, and entrepreneurship so they may become AI leaders prepared to take on issues in Africa and throughout the world. 5. Scholarships covering the whole cost of tuition, living expenses, and complete assistance are available to students accepted for the 2024–2025 academic year. In addition to receiving financial aid, Scholars will take part in leadership development courses, one-on-one mentoring, and other events and programming as part of Arizona State University’s larger Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. Qualifications
Candidates must meet the academic requirements, including English proficiency, in order to be admitted to the degree program of their choosing.
Candidates must be citizens of an African nation who have a track record of moral leadership and active participation in their society.
The age range for applicants must fall between 18 and 33 on or before the application deadline.
Candidates need to show that they have a history of community involvement and leadership.
Candidates must exhibit superior academic standing and aspirations beyond their means.
Candidates must have completed at least four years of coursework to receive an undergraduate degree.
Before August 2024, applicants cannot have begun or finished any other graduate or master’s program.
Throughout the program, applicants must be able to reside in Phoenix, Arizona.
