MEXT Research Student Scholarship 

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho/MEXT) of the Government of Japan offers scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at Japanese universities and schools. Only Bangladeshi citizens can apply for these programs. As per Embassy recommendation, all application should be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh.

Selection Process:

1. Application Submission: To the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh
2. Documents Review
3. Examination (Japanese and English)
4. 1st screening notification
5. Obtain admissions or letters of provisional acceptance
6. 2nd screening notification
7. Acceptance notification

The MEXT Scholarship stands for “the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Scholarship” and is also known as “Monbukagakusho.” It’s a scholarship given out each year to help foreign students enroll in Japanese universities.

•  Degree: Bachelor’s degree or higher
•  Age: Born on or after April 2, 1987 (for the 2022 recruitment)
• Study Area: The same field that the applicant has studied, or a related field
• Citizenship: Bangladeshi
